The Eben Ezer Lutheran Congregation, the Public School, and the Mission (Children’s Home) are separate agencies. The congregation and the Mission were separated to allow the community to recognize the congregation as being for the entire community rather than only for the residents and staff of Oaks Indian Mission. The congregation calls its own pastor, conducts its educational, evangelism and stewardship programs, and seeks to share the Gospel with the people of the Oaks area. “ Mission Kids”, as the young residents of the Home like to call themselves, participate fully in the life of Eben Ezer Congregation. The congregation, in turn, takes special interest in the well-being and spiritual development of the children. The pastor of Eben Ezer Lutheran Church is Jack Russell.
