The Mission is 100% gift supported. Of the $853,750 annual operations budget for 2007…

  • 5% comes from gifts given by the Synods of Region IV of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (Nebraska, Kansas, Missouri, Arkansas, Oklahoma, Texas and Louisiana)
  • 26% from gifts given by congregations
  • 7% from gifts given by foundations and corporations
  • 42% from gifts given by individuals
  • 16% from Organiztions
  • 4% from Answered Prayers

Capital improvements and expansion is funded by generous gifts gathered in capital campaigns. The past campaign, the Bring Up A Child Appeal, gathered $1,400,000 and provided much needed improvements to buildings, including construction of a new cottage for the children.

The Endowment Fund has a corpus of $1.58 million. These funds are invested permanently with only the earnings used to provide childcare.

The cost to care for one child for one year is about $17,785. This is considerably less than childcare provided by similar agencies.
