| As an affiliated social ministry of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA), Oaks Indian Mission is a partner with Indian peoples, the Cherokee Nation, and congregations of the ELCA and Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod (LCMS).
The Oaks Indian Mission is a 501 c 3 not for profit charitable corporation organized under the laws of the state of Oklahoma and complies with federal & state standards regarding childcare.
Oaks is governed by a volunteer Board of Directors whose members represent the Cherokee Nation, the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America, the Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod, and the Oaks community.
