Oaks Lenten Devotions - Week 3
John, Comanche, has been at the Oaks Indian Mission a little less than a year, placed by his tribe when he was a junior in high school. John is an example of a relatively short term placement blossoming at the Oaks. Again, it's not necessarily a matter of time as we know it, chronos, but rather God's time, kairos, the right time.
John plans, upon graduation in May, to attend a four year college, perhaps Northeastern State University in nearby Tahlequah, studying music, theatre and science. John is in a confirmation class that meets weekly on campus. He is using it to help prepare for his Easter Sunday Baptism next month.
The fruit of this past summer, when he, too, was inspired by the Multi-cultural Youth Leadership Event, marking, as well, the beginning of John's journey as a cross-bearing, Spirit-sealed child of God!
